There are a large number of browsers available to users who want to browse the Internet. Even though all browsers can be used to access the same Internet and the same sites they do not follow the same rules for rendering content. The major browser manufacturers are constantly improving the browsers and they all try to adhere to the same standards. That was not always the case. In the early days Microsoft and Netscape added many custom features to the browsers in an attempt to dominate the market. Today there are many more players on the browser market and Web by Pixel makes a continued effort to support at least the latest version of the major browsers. These are:

Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 and 8.
Mozilla Firefox version 3 and 3.5
Apple Safari version 3 and 4
Opera version 9 and 10
Google Chrome 1.0

We also test our solutions on many different operative system like Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X and Linux.

Web sites built with Web by Pixel tools might work in older versions of these browsers. (MS IE 6, Firefox 2 etc.). It all depends on the use of the tools and the complexity of the web site.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, released in March 2001 is still in use but 2 major updates have been released since then. IE 7 was released in October 2006 and IE 8 was released in March 2009. Read more on wikipedia

Besides following standards the newer versions of browsers also address many security issues. For that reason alone users are strongly encouraged to upgrade.
